matt w. moore is a graphic designer/illustrator based in portland, maine. earlier this year he spent a month in paris setting up for his first solo exhibition there called crystals & lasers, a show featuring vivid geometrical works made solely from spray paint in an attempt to achieve the same depth and abstract geometry of his previous digital work, which is also pretty amazing stuff.
“I’ve always been drawn to powerful colour. My years of painting graffiti with a limited palette of bold colours acquainted me with strong colour combos, often ones that others shy away from, such as pink and purple. I love going for it with the entire spectrum, and working digitally makes this super easy. With paint you need to be very mindful of the colours you’re layering up. It can be hard to make yellow and white pop over darker tones, and it can be hard mixing such vibrant colours with paint.”

i love the coulours!
