art > party down.

Emilio Santoyo is an incredible illustrator living in California who has an awesome sense of humor when it comes to his work. Bright colors, funny characters, and an amazing amount of detail go into each piece, and that’s exactly why we wanted to interview him for our brand new zine issue. To find out more about this fabulous illustrator, to see more of his work & pictures of his studio, and to find out what new and super exciting projects he has coming up for 2012 (like, for instance, working with the makers of the movie Juno), get your copy of The Flood #6 (available in The Flood Shop as a digital download for just $3.00 or a print copy for $5.00 + shipping). art > everyday vivid color.
Ashton Elizabeth Hall is a wonderful oil pastel artist in LaCrosse, Wisconsin whose work is full of expressive lines and beautifully rendered compositions. Her very first art show, “Everyday Vivid Color,” began yesterday at the Steep & Brew coffee shop in Madison and more of her work can be seen in the newest issue of The Flood’s zine (now available in The Flood Shop starting at $3.00 for a digital download or $5.00 for a print copy). In fact, I’ll be showcasing pieces that could not be included in the new issue due to space constraints from contributors to The Flood #6 all this week so you can get better acquainted with some of the awesome people and things this new issue has to offer.
